CM Dr. Manik Saha inaugurates Kakraban General Degree College
Nov 11, 2025Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday inaugurated the Kakraban General Degree College and virtually launched a 50-seated Girls’ Hostel at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), marking a major milestone in the region’s educational development.
The inauguration fulfills a long-standing demand of the people of Kakraban for enhanced access to higher education. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Saha emphasized that the new college and hostel will broaden learning opportunities and open new horizons for the youth, enabling them to shape a brighter future.
The event was attended by Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Higher Education Minister Kishor Barman, and other dignitaries, reflecting the government’s commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure in the district.
The establishment of these institutions is expected to empower students, particularly girls, by providing better educational facilities and accommodation, contributing significantly to the region’s socio-educational growth.
