CM Dr. Manik Saha Flags Off ‘Unity March’ Honouring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th Birth Anniversary

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday flagged off the ‘Unity March’ from the historic Ujjayanta Palace in Agartala to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, fondly remembered as the Iron Man of India.
The event, organized as part of the nationwide celebrations of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, government officials, and citizens who joined hands to reaffirm the values of unity and integrity that Sardar Patel stood for.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision and leadership were instrumental in uniting the nation after independence, and his legacy continues to inspire generations to work towards a stronger and more harmonious India.
“The Unity March is not just a tribute to Sardar Patel, but also a reminder of our collective responsibility to uphold the ideals of national integration and brotherhood,” Dr. Saha said.
The march, symbolizing strength, solidarity, and the spirit of nation-building, concluded amid patriotic fervour, echoing the message of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”
