Traffic Police Destroys 410 modified Bike Silencers
Nov 09, 2025In compliance with a court directive, the Tripura Traffic Police conducted a large-scale operation near Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) College, Agartala, where 410 motorcycles modified bike silencers were destroyed on Sunday.
The drive was personally supervised by Superintendent of Traffic Police Kanta Jahangir, who stated that the action aimed to curb rising noise pollution and enforce vehicle modification laws across the city.
“This operation is part of our commitment to maintaining public peace and ensuring that all vehicles comply with noise and safety regulations,” said SP Jahangir during the inspection.
SP Jahangir further said that similar drives will continue in other parts of the city and warned that strict legal action would be taken against offenders.
