CM Dr. Manik Saha Lays Foundation Stone of Shija Hospital
Nov 05, 2025Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of Shija Hospital, Agartala, at RK Nagar, marking a major step towards strengthening Tripura’s healthcare infrastructure.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Saha said the state government has created an enabling environment that encourages investors to view Tripura as a destination offering both ease of doing business and opportunities for growth.
He expressed satisfaction over Shija Hospital, Manipur, expanding its services to Tripura with the establishment of a Super Specialty Hospital, Medical College, and Nursing Institute. The Chief Minister said the project aligns with the government’s vision of transforming Tripura into a ‘Health Hub’ and contributes to the larger goal of ‘Viksit Tripura’.
“The initiative will not only strengthen healthcare facilities in the state but also create significant employment opportunities for the people of Tripura,” Dr. Saha added.
The upcoming Shija Hospital complex is expected to enhance access to advanced medical care in the region while promoting Tripura as a center for quality healthcare and medical education in Northeast India.
