Tripura Ropeway Projects to Get a Boost: MP Biplab Kumar Deb Holds Key Meeting with NHLML CEO in Delhi
Nov 04, 2025A crucial meeting was held on Tuesday at the official residence of Tripura MP Biplab Kumar Deb in New Delhi with Rajesh Malik, Chief Executive Officer of the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML). The discussion centered on expediting the construction of three major ropeway projects in Tripura — Maharani to Chhabimura, Udaipur Railway Station to Tripurasundari Temple, and Tripurasundari Temple to Chhabimura.
During the meeting, MP Biplab Deb emphasized that the timely completion of these projects would open new avenues for tourism development in Tripura. He stated that the ropeways would not only attract more visitors to the state but also create employment opportunities and contribute to local economic growth.
NHLML CEO Rajesh Malik assured the MP that a special team of experts from the organization will soon visit Tripura to review the on-ground progress and ensure that the projects move forward without delay.
These ropeway projects have long been a dream for the people of Tripura. Once implemented, they are expected to enhance connectivity, boost tourism, and unlock new economic prospects for the region.
