CM Dr. Manik Saha lays Foundation Stone for Major Healthcare Projects at GBP Hospital

In a major boost to Tripura’s healthcare infrastructure, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha on Monday laid the foundation stone for several key medical facilities at Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) Hospital. The new projects include a Critical Care Building (CCB), a Communicable Disease Centre (CDC), and a 20-bedded Special Ward.

The Chief Minister also digitally launched the Inter Departmental Call Management System (IDCMS) during a function held at the KLS Auditorium. The system aims to streamline communication among departments and enhance coordination in patient care.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services at Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital. He noted that the number of referral cases to hospitals outside the state has significantly decreased due to improved facilities and services.

“We are further planning to introduce four more super-speciality services in the hospital,” the Chief Minister announced, underscoring the government’s focus on expanding advanced medical care within the state.

Commending the dedication of medical professionals at GBP Hospital, Dr. Saha said, “I am glad to see that our doctors working in the hospital are scaling new heights in critical care.”
