CM Dr. Manik Saha Pays Tribute to Fallen Heroes on Police Commemoration Day


Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday attended the Police Commemoration Day observance held at the Manoranjan Debbarma Smriti Stadium in A.D. Nagar, Agartala. The solemn ceremony was organized to honour the brave police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

Paying homage to the martyrs, Chief Minister Dr. Saha extended heartfelt tributes to the fallen heroes, acknowledging their supreme sacrifice for the safety and security of the nation.

"In remembering our brave police personnel, we not only honour their courage but also reaffirm our commitment to uphold the values they stood for. Their selfless service and unwavering spirit embody the true essence of heroism," said Dr. Saha during his address.

The event witnessed the participation of senior police officials, government dignitaries, and family members of the martyred personnel. A wreath-laying ceremony was held as a mark of respect, followed by a moment of silence in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Police Commemoration Day is observed across the country every year on October 21 to pay tribute to police personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. The day also serves as a reminder of the crucial role law enforcement plays in maintaining peace and order in society.

Dr. Saha also interacted with the families of the martyrs and assured continued support from the state government for their welfare.
