Minister Kishore Barman Joins Education Experts to Review NEP 2020 Progress in Northeast
Oct 18, 2025Minister Kishore Barman attended the North East Education Conclave 2025 held at Pragjyotishpur University, Guwahati, where eminent educationists and policymakers gathered to deliberate on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the Northeastern region.
The Conclave witnessed the presence of the Vice-Chancellors of various universities, Directors of National Institutes, UGC Secretary, AICTE Chairman, and senior university officials. Minister Barman participated in a parallel session focused on the regional execution and challenges of NEP 2020, contributing valuable insights on advancing inclusive and quality education across the Northeast.
Education Minister of Assam Dr. Ranoj Pegu has also attended the session and shared significant recommendations to strengthen the policy’s implementation framework in the region.
The discussions at the Conclave emphasized collaboration among academic institutions, state governments, and national education bodies to ensure effective realization of NEP 2020’s vision in the Northeast.
