MP Biplab Kumar Deb Meets Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar
Oct 14, 2025Member of Parliament from Tripura and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb paid a courtesy call on Union Minister for Power and Urban Development, Manohar Lal Khattar, on Tuesday in New Delhi.
During the meeting, the two leaders held detailed discussions on various ongoing projects in Tripura under the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. A key point of discussion was the progress of the ‘Lighthouse Project’, which is being implemented in the state as part of the central government’s affordable housing initiative.
They also reviewed multiple initiatives aimed at improving the urban infrastructure and strengthening the energy sector in Tripura. MP Deb expressed his commitment to accelerating development in the state and sought continued support from the central government to ensure timely execution of key schemes.
The meeting highlighted the Centre’s collaborative approach with states to promote sustainable urban growth and reliable power supply across the country.
