Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2025 Flags Off with Enthusiastic Participation in National Capital


The national capital witnessed a vibrant start to the 20th edition of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2025 this morning, as thousands of enthusiastic runners from across age groups hit the streets in a spirited display of fitness and community participation.

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, officially flagged off the prestigious event, marking a significant milestone in the marathon’s two-decade legacy. The event also saw the presence of several high-profile dignitaries, including Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Dr. Mandaviya praised the growing culture of health and fitness in India, highlighting the role of events like the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon in inspiring citizens to adopt active lifestyles.

“This marathon is not just a race; it’s a celebration of India’s commitment to health, endurance, and unity. It’s heartening to see people from all walks of life participating with such energy,” he said.

The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, one of the most prominent road running events in the country, features multiple race categories, including the elite half marathon, 10K run, and Great Delhi Run, allowing professional athletes and amateur runners alike to participate.
