Mayor Dipak Majumder Inspects Smart City Drainage Work in Agartala
Oct 11, 2025Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor, Dipak Majumder, on Saturday inspected ongoing drainage construction works under the Smart City Mission in key areas of the city, including Laxminarayan Bari Road and Women’s College Road.
During the site visit, the Mayor reviewed the progress of covered drain construction and held discussions with officials from various departments regarding the timely completion and quality of the work. Emphasizing the importance of infrastructure development for better urban living, he directed concerned authorities to expedite the repair and construction processes.
Accompanying the Mayor during the inspection were CEO of Agartala Smart City Limited Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Secretary of Urban Development Abhishek Singh, along with engineers from the DWS Department and officials from other government departments.
The visit is part of the ongoing efforts by the Agartala Municipal Corporation to enhance civic infrastructure and ensure effective implementation of Smart City projects for the benefit of residents.
