In a spirited display of unity and purpose, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday took part in the ‘NAMO Yuva Run - For a Nasha Mukt Bharat’, an initiative organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Tripura in Agartala. The event drew hundreds of enthusiastic young participants, all running with a common goal — to promote a drug-free and healthy India.
Accompanying the Chief Minister were Rajya Sabha MP and BJP Tripura President Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA and BJYM Tripura President Sushanta Deb, as well as several senior party leaders and workers. The rally, flagged off from a prominent location in the city, turned into a strong visual message of solidarity and commitment to the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ (Addiction-Free India) campaign.
Speaking at the event, CM Dr. Saha lauded the youth for their active involvement in nation-building and emphasized the importance of staying away from drugs. “The future of India lies in the hands of our youth. We must empower them with the right values and ensure they lead healthy, productive lives,” he said.
The run is part of a broader nationwide movement spearheaded by the BJYM to raise awareness about substance abuse and encourage youth participation in social change. Placards, slogans, and chants echoed through the streets as participants voiced their pledge for a drug-free India.
BJYM Tripura President Sushanta Deb expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the youth and reiterated the organization’s commitment to continue such awareness campaigns across the state.
