PVC Ration Cards Distributed at Government Fair Price Shop No. 219 in Agartala

A special distribution drive was held on Saturday at Government Fair Price Shop No. 219 under Ward No. 33 of the Agartala Municipal Corporation, where beneficiaries received their new PVC ration cards. The event was organized in the presence of local Ward Councillor Mr. Abhijit Mallick.

The distribution ceremony was also attended by prominent social worker Mr. Dilip Kumar Deb, Mr. Ramesh Chandra Sarkar, and several other local leaders, community representatives, and dignitaries.

The newly introduced PVC ration cards are part of a government initiative aimed at providing more durable, secure, and long-lasting identity cards to ration card holders. These upgraded cards are expected to improve efficiency and transparency in accessing public distribution system (PDS) services.

Councillor Abhijit Mallick, speaking at the event, highlighted the importance of modernizing essential services. “With the introduction of PVC ration cards, beneficiaries will now have a more reliable form of identification, ensuring smoother access to government schemes and entitlements,” he said.
