BJP Mahila Morcha Offers Prayers at Tripurasundari Temple Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit

In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Tripura, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Tripura State Mahila Morcha held a special prayer ceremony at the historic Tripurasundari Temple in Matabari on Friday.

The event was led by the Mahila Morcha’s State President, Mimi Majumder, who, along with party members performed a puja at the ancient temple, one of the 51 revered Shakti Peethas in the country, which holds immense religious and cultural significance for devotees across India. The BJP workers lit ceremonial lamps, offered flowers, and chanted prayers, seeking divine blessings for Prime Minister Modi’s well-being and strength to continue his leadership of the nation.

Speaking to the media after the prayer ceremony, Mimi Majumder, who also serves as a former MLA, stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working tirelessly for the development of the nation. As he prepares to visit our state, we prayed for his good health, long life, and continued success in leading India on the path of progress.”

The prayer ceremony comes just two days ahead of PM Modi’s scheduled visit to Tripura on, September 22, during which he will inaugurate the newly renovated Tripurasundari Temple, a revered Shakti Peeth and one of the most significant pilgrimage sites in Northeast India.

The temple's renovation is seen as a major cultural milestone for the state and is expected to further boost religious tourism in the region. Elaborate preparations are underway in Matabari and surrounding areas to welcome the Prime Minister, with tight security arrangements and large gatherings expected for the inauguration event.
