PM Modi to Inaugurate Revamped Tripura Sundari Temple: CM Dr. Manik Saha Reviews Final Preparations

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to visit Tripura on September 22, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha led a high-level inspection of the Tripura Sundari Temple premises in Udaipur on Thursday, reviewing the final stages of preparations for the grand inauguration of the temple’s newly developed infrastructure.

The redevelopment of the iconic temple, undertaken under the PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive) scheme, aims to enhance pilgrimage experience and promote heritage tourism in the state. The project includes improved facilities, beautification of the temple complex, and upgraded amenities for devotees and tourists.

Dr. Saha was accompanied by Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Minister Kishore Barman, Member of Parliament Rajib Bhattacharjee, Zilla Sabhadhipati Debol Debroy, and MLAs Abhishek Debroy and Jitendra Majumdar. The team meticulously reviewed logistical, administrative, and ceremonial arrangements to ensure the event proceeds seamlessly.

As part of the preparatory review, the delegation also visited the Palatana OTPC helipad, which is expected to be used for the Prime Minister’s arrival. Security protocols, transportation routes, and crowd management strategies were evaluated in coordination with district officials and law enforcement agencies.

The Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the 51 revered Shakti Peethas in India, holds immense spiritual and cultural significance. The upcoming inauguration by Prime Minister Modi is expected to attract national attention and reinforce Tripura’s position on the spiritual tourism map.
