Minister Sudhangshu Das Meets MP Biplab Kumar Deb in Delhi
Sep 11, 2025Agartala, September 11: Tripura’s Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD), and Fisheries, Sudhangshu Das, held a meeting with Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and former Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb, at the latter’s official residence in New Delhi on Thursday.
The meeting focused on accelerating key developmental initiatives across various sectors in Tripura, with special emphasis on the welfare of Scheduled Castes, livestock and fisheries development, and sustainable livelihood generation in rural areas. Speaking after the meeting, Minister Das described the interaction as "insightful and constructive," highlighting the shared vision for inclusive growth and the upliftment of marginalized communities in the state.
“We exchanged views on several crucial issues concerning the development of Tripura. The discussion covered policies and programs that can bring lasting positive change to the lives of people, especially in rural and backward areas,” he said. The deliberations come at a time when the Tripura government is intensifying efforts to improve infrastructure, employment opportunities, and social welfare schemes under various centrally sponsored and state-driven initiatives.
