Tripura Gramin Bank organizes Jansuraksha Camp at Rahimpur
Sep 08, 2025A Jansuraksha Camp was organised at Rahimpur Gram Panchayat by the Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB), Boxanagar Branch, with the aim of spreading awareness about government-backed social security schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY).
The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries including Mr. Onsing Marchang, General Manager (FIDD), Reserve Bank of India; Mr. Upendra Jamatia, Additional District Magistrate of Sepahijala District; Smt. Payel Saha, Regional Manager (South), Tripura Gramin Bank; Block Development Officer, Boxanagar Block; and the Lead District Manager (LDM) of Sepahijala District, along with other senior officials from the RBI, various banks, and representatives of Rahimpur GP.
As part of the program, two PMJJBY claim cheques were formally handed over to the nominees of deceased policyholders, demonstrating the timely delivery of benefits under the central government’s insurance scheme.
The camp aimed to raise financial awareness among rural residents and encourage wider participation in social security initiatives. Officials also provided information about enrolment procedures, eligibility criteria, and benefits under various schemes.
