Education Key to Nation Building, Says CM Dr. Manik Saha


Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Sunday emphasized the vital role of education in nation-building and the importance of instilling patriotism among students. He was addressing members and delegates at the 3rd Triennial State Convention of the Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM), held at Nazrul Kalakshetra in Agartala.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister highlighted that teachers’ knowledge and skills play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of students. He described education as one of the most valuable gifts to humanity, with its contribution to the development of the nation remaining unparalleled through the ages.

"Teachers are not just educators; they are nation builders. Through their guidance, they help instill values, discipline, and a sense of purpose in the younger generation," Dr. Saha said.

He further called upon the teaching community to take a more active role in nurturing a strong sense of patriotism among students. "Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that they grow up with deep love and commitment towards the nation," he added.

The convention saw participation from a large number of educators and academic professionals from across the state, focusing on the future of education and the role of teachers in creating a self-reliant and value-driven society.
