Assam Rifles Celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi with Devotion and Unity

In a vibrant display of cultural heritage and spiritual devotion, Assam Rifles celebrated the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi with great enthusiasm and reverence at its Radhanagar post from August 27 to September 6, 2025.
The ten-day celebration began with the traditional Pran Pratishtha ceremony — the ritual installation of Lord Ganesha’s idol — accompanied by devotional hymns, chants, and elaborate rituals. The event witnessed active participation from Assam Rifles personnel, their families, and members of the local community.
The celebrations served as a platform to promote unity, harmony, and spiritual well-being among troops and civilians alike. Daily prayers, cultural performances, and devotional gatherings added to the festive atmosphere, turning the camp into a hub of joy and community bonding.
The festivities culminated on September 6 with a grand Ganesh Visarjan (immersion ceremony). A vibrant procession, featuring traditional music and dance, carried the idol of Lord Ganesha to its immersion site. Troops and civilians came together to offer collective prayers for peace, prosperity, and the nation's well-being.
This annual celebration reaffirmed Assam Rifles' commitment to preserving India’s rich cultural traditions while fostering camaraderie and mutual respect among its ranks and with the local population.
