Tripura Celebrates 64th Teachers' Day with State wide Honour

Tripura commemorated the 64th Teachers’ Day with a grand event held at the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bahvan in Agartala on Friday. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha graced the occasion as the chief guest and paid tribute to the teaching community for their relentless service in shaping society and nurturing future generations.

The highlight of the event was the felicitation of eminent educators from across the state, recognized for their outstanding contributions to the field of education. The Chief Minister personally presented the honours, acknowledging the awardees’ dedication, passion, and years of commitment to academic excellence.

In his address, Dr. Saha emphasized the irreplaceable role of teachers in nation-building. "Teachers are the guiding force behind every successful individual. Their impact on society is immeasurable, and this day is a reminder of the respect and gratitude they truly deserve," he said.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the education department, school administrators, and students. The event concluded with cultural performances and a renewed pledge to uphold the values of education and mentorship.

Teachers’ Day in India is celebrated on September 5 every year to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a distinguished scholar, philosopher, and the second President of India.
