Tripura BJP Leader Caught on Camera Flaunting Wads of Cash

The footage, which has now gone viral, has triggered widespread outrage and raised serious questions about corruption and political accountability in the state.
The person in the video has been identified as Raju Jamatia, a close aide to Amar Jamatia, the President of the BJP’s 30-Bagma Mandal unit in Gomati district. In the video, Raju is seen sitting on a bed, playing gleefully with large stacks of cash, sparking shock and anger among the public.
The video has sparked intense speculation over the origin of the money and whether it was linked to political dealings or misuse of power. Citizens and civil society groups have expressed deep concern over the optics of a political functionary being seen with such vast sums of unexplained cash.
