Surjyamaninagar MLA Ram Prasad Paul on Wednesday inaugurated 16 newly constructed stalls along the Ramthakur Ashram CC Road, near Moloynagar Gram Panchayat Bypass and Nagicherra Bypass in West Tripura district.
The initiative, backed by the local Panchayat and Block administration, aims to provide sustainable livelihood options for unemployed individuals in the region. These stalls are expected to offer small-scale entrepreneurs and vendors a platform to establish or expand their businesses.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony—attended by the Block Chairman and Panchayat members—MLA Paul emphasized the state government’s focus on fostering self-reliance among the youth.
“Our government stresses on self-reliance. Youths must not only sit back and hope for government jobs but also seek alternative avenues to earn a respectable livelihood,” said Paul.
He also highlighted various Central and State government schemes designed to support entrepreneurship and make credit more accessible. Paul urged young people to explore opportunities in diverse sectors instead of depending solely on public sector employment.
