Tripura wonder kid sets global record by naming all countries and capitals in under 3 minutes

In an extraordinary display of memory and intellect, five-year-old Ayan Debnath from Tripura has made global headlines by entering the International Book of Records for naming all 195 countries along with their capitals in just 2 minutes and 53 seconds.

Ayan, a resident of East Chebri Tanti Para in the Khowai subdivision, achieved this remarkable feat at an age when most children are still learning to read and write. His lightning-fast recall and precise knowledge have stunned educators, parents, and record-keepers alike.

The official recognition arrived at Ayan’s home earlier this week, bringing immense pride to his family and the local community. His father, Pranojit Debnath, a schoolteacher, and mother, Tanushree Debnath, credited their son’s success to his natural curiosity, disciplined routine, and an environment that nurtures learning.

“This achievement is beyond anything we ever imagined,” said a family member. “Ayan has always had a sharp memory, but his dedication and interest in geography truly set him apart.”

This is not Ayan’s first entry into the record books. At just 2 years and 4 months old, he was featured in the India Book of Records for a similar accomplishment at the national level, showing signs early on of his prodigious abilities.

Local authorities, educators, and community leaders in Khowai district have lauded Ayan’s achievement, calling it a source of inspiration for young learners across the country.
