Aug 25, 2025In a significant push towards strengthening Tripura’s power infrastructure, the state’s Power, Agriculture, and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Monday laid the foundation stone for the re-conductoring of the 132 KV transmission line at Bodhjungnagar. The project is being implemented by Tripura Power Transmission Limited (TPTL) as part of a broader strategy to upgrade and modernize the state's electricity transmission system.
Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Nath said the initiative is a vital step toward ensuring uninterrupted and stable power supply across the state. He noted that the integration of modern technology in the transmission network will increase capacity, improve grid stability, and expand access to reliable electricity for both residential and industrial consumers.
“This is not just a technical upgrade—it’s a move toward empowering the people of Tripura. The re-conductoring of this transmission line will play a crucial role in boosting the overall performance of our power sector,” the Minister said.
He added that such infrastructure projects are a testament to the government’s commitment to building a self-reliant and future-ready Tripura, where quality power supply supports economic growth and enhances the quality of life for citizens.
