CM Dr. Manik Saha pays homage to Maharaja Bir Bikram on 117th birth anniversary

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday paid tribute to Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur on the occasion of his 117th birth anniversary at the Rabindra Satbarshiki Bhawan.
Describing the Maharaja as the architect of modern Tripura, Dr. Saha highlighted his significant contributions to the state’s infrastructure, education, and healthcare systems. “Maharaja Bir Bikram’s farsighted vision laid the foundation for a progressive Tripura. His legacy continues to guide us in shaping a modern and inclusive state,” the Chief Minister said.
Dr. Saha also noted that over the last seven years, the government has been working tirelessly to ensure inclusive growth, peace, and progress in Tripura, in line with the values and vision of the late Maharaja.
The commemorative event saw the presence of several notable dignitaries, including East Tripura MP Kriti Singh Debbarma, Minister Sukla Charan Noatia, Chitta Maharaj, Secretary of the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty, Director Bimbisar Bhattacharya, and Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder.
The programme featured floral tributes, cultural presentations, and reflections on the enduring legacy of Maharaja Bir Bikram, who remains a revered figure in Tripura’s history for his transformative leadership.
