Tripura Women’s Commission and TNGCL Launch Sewing Machine Distribution Drive to Empower Women

In a concerted effort to promote women's empowerment and economic self-reliance, the Tripura Women’s Commission, in collaboration with the Tripura Natural Gas Company Limited (TNGCL), organized a Sewing Machine Distribution Programme at Muktadhara Auditorium on Monday.
The event was attended by Tinku Roy, Minister for Youth Affairs, Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, and Labour, who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, the Minister underlined the importance of such initiatives in enhancing the socio-economic condition of women across the state.
“This initiative is a significant step towards women’s self-reliance and economic empowerment,” said Minister Roy. “By equipping women with the tools to earn a livelihood, we are paving the way for a more inclusive and resilient society.”
The event also witnessed the presence of Jharna Debbarma, Chairperson of the Tripura Women’s Commission, along with senior officials, dignitaries, and beneficiaries.
