CM Dr. Manik Saha distributes national flags as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign

As part of the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha distributed national flags to residents of Shibnagar on Sunday, encouraging widespread participation in the initiative ahead of Independence Day.
The event was organized by the Shibnagar Modern Club in collaboration with Amra Tarun Dal, with the aim of uniting local communities in a collective celebration of national pride. Accompanied by volunteers, the Chief Minister personally handed out flags to several households and urged citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes from August 13 to 15.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha emphasized the importance of the campaign, stating, “The Tricolor is a symbol of our unity, sacrifice, and sovereignty. As we celebrate Independence Day, it is important that every home reflects the pride and spirit of our nation. This campaign is a tribute to the countless martyrs who gave their lives for India’s freedom.”
Launched under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign encourages citizens across the country to display the national flag at their homes to strengthen their connection with the country’s heritage and identity.
Local residents appreciated the Chief Minister’s personal involvement in the campaign, expressing their gratitude. The initiative has sparked enthusiasm throughout the state as communities prepare to celebrate the 79th Independence Day with patriotism and pride.
The event was also attended by Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee and Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder, both of whom expressed their support for the campaign and praised the community’s active participation.
