BJP Mahila Morcha celebrates Raksha Bandhan with BSF Jawans

In a heartwarming display of patriotism and gratitude, the Tripura unit of the BJP Mahila Morcha celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at the Akhaura International Checkpost in Agartala. The event was organised to honour the dedication and sacrifices of the jawans guarding India’s borders.
Led by Tripura Pradesh Mahila Morcha President Mimi Majumder, members of the BJP’s women’s wing tied rakhis to BSF soldiers, expressing solidarity and appreciation for their selfless service. The atmosphere at the border post was both festive and emotional as women from the Mahila Morcha also distributed sweets among the jawans.
Speaking at the event, Mimi Majumder said, “Raksha Bandhan is not just a festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters — it is also an opportunity to pay tribute to those who protect our nation like true guardians. Through this small gesture, we express our deepest respect and offer prayers for the safety and well-being of our brave soldiers.”
She further commended the recent achievements of the armed forces, particularly citing Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev, describing them as shining examples of the courage and commitment shown by India’s defence personnel.
This year’s celebration was themed “Ek Rakhi, Ek Salaam — Rashtra Rakshakon Ke Naam” (One Rakhi, One Salute — Dedicated to the Nation’s Protectors), encapsulating the spirit of unity and national pride.
