CM Dr. Manik Saha inaugurates KC Girls School Cricket Ground

In a significant boost to sports infrastructure in Tripura, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday inaugurated the KC Girls School Cricket Ground in Kamalpur, Dhalai district. The new facility marks a major step towards promoting cricket and fostering a vibrant sports culture in the region.
Developed through a collaborative effort between the Government of Tripura and the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA), the cricket ground is part of a wider initiative to expand access to quality sports infrastructure across the state, particularly in remote and rural areas.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Saha emphasized the importance of sports in shaping the overall development of youth. "This initiative is not just about building infrastructure—it's about creating opportunities. We are committed to ensuring that talented athletes, regardless of where they come from, get the support they need to succeed," he said.
The Chief Minister also noted that the government is actively working to identify and nurture young talent by bringing sports facilities closer to communities.
Also present at the event were Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports Tinku Roy, senior officials, local leaders, and enthusiastic students. The event was marked by cultural performances and a friendly exhibition match, showcasing the excitement the new ground has brought to the community.
