Minister Kishor Barman inaugurates seminar titled ‘5 Years of NEP: Reflecting Together, Shaping Tomorrow’
Jul 26, 2025Minister for Higher Education Kishor Barman on Saturday inaugurated a one-day seminar titled ‘5 Years of NEP: Reflecting Together, Shaping Tomorrow’ was at the Matangini-Pritilata Hall of Women’s College, Agartala. The event was organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) to mark five years since the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Speaking at the seminar, Minister for Higher Education Kishor Barman emphasized that the core objective of the NEP is to establish a Bharat-centric education system and to transform India into a global educational hub. He stressed the need for collective effort from students, teachers, academic professionals, and the government to ensure the policy is fully implemented across all levels.
"The vision of the NEP can only be realized through 100% implementation, which requires the active and united participation of all stakeholders in the education ecosystem," he stated.
The seminar saw enthusiastic participation from principals, professors, and educationists representing various colleges across the state. Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on the progress made over the past five years and the roadmap for the future of Indian education.
