Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurates new rural agricultural marketing market in Sabroom

In a bid to boost the rural economy and empower local farmers, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism, Sushanta Chowdhury, inaugurated a newly constructed Rural Agricultural Marketing Market building at Bottala Bazaar in Sabroom on Saturday.
The new market facility is designed to provide a structured and dedicated space for farmers to directly sell their agricultural produce. The initiative aims to enhance market accessibility for rural farmers while also creating better income opportunities by eliminating middlemen.
Addressing the gathering at the inauguration ceremony, Minister Chowdhury said, “I believe this new market building will strengthen the rural economy and help improve the standard of living for our local farmers.” He emphasized the government's continued commitment to rural development and agricultural upliftment.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Cooperation Minister Sukla Charan Noatia, along with several senior officials and local community leaders. They lauded the initiative as a significant step towards improving agricultural infrastructure and supporting the livelihoods of farming communities in the region.
