Jul 26, 2025
As part of the 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations, the Assam Rifles on Saturday organised a special screening of a documentary on the Kargil War at Government High School in Karaimura village, located in the Sepahijala district of Tripura.
The event was aimed at educating the younger generation about the significance of the Kargil War, and highlighting the unmatched courage, dedication, and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces. By showcasing the stories of valour from the 1999 conflict, the Assam Rifles sought to instill a deep sense of patriotism, national pride, and respect for the armed forces among the students and local youth.
The screening witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, youth, and local residents from Karaimura and nearby villages. The documentary struck an emotional chord with the audience, especially the younger viewers, leaving a lasting impression and fostering a stronger understanding of the values of national service and sacrifice.
This initiative is part of a broader community outreach programme by the Assam Rifles, aimed at strengthening the bond between the armed forces and the civilian population. Through such engagements, the force continues to inspire future generations by sharing real-life stories of heroism and resilience from the armed forces.
