Minister Sudhangshu Das Reviews Progress of Welfare and Development Projects in West Tripura
Jul 22, 2025Minister for Scheduled Caste Welfare, Fisheries, and Animal Resources Development (ARDD), Sudhangshu Das, chaired a comprehensive district-level review meeting on Tuesday at the Conference Hall of the District Magistrate’s Office in West Tripura.
The meeting focused on the progress of various government welfare schemes and development projects being implemented under the three departments for the 2025–26 fiscal year. The minister emphasized the importance of delivering benefits to eligible beneficiaries within the stipulated time frame and accelerating the implementation of approved projects across the district.
Detailed discussions were held on ways to improve efficiency, ensure timely execution, and remove bottlenecks in project delivery. The aim was to strengthen grassroots governance and enhance the overall public service delivery system.
The meeting saw the presence of key officials from the SC Welfare, Fisheries, and ARDD departments, local Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), West Tripura Zilla Sabhadhipati, and West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, among other stakeholders. Their participation contributed to a constructive dialogue aimed at aligning departmental efforts with the state’s broader development goals.
Minister Das praised the efforts of the departments and encouraged coordinated action to ensure that developmental initiatives reach the intended sections of society efficiently.
