Shreshtha Bhuban Foundation felicitates Tripura Cyclist Ajay Saha

In an exceptional display of determination, endurance, and social commitment, Ajay Saha, a 59-year-old resident of Dhaleswar, Agartala, has completed a 4,760-kilometre solo bicycle journey from Agartala to Leh-Ladakh in just 60 days.

Mr. Saha began his journey on May 1, 2025, with a clear and powerful mission: to encourage India’s youth to adopt cycling as a way to stay healthy, reduce environmental pollution, and save money. Despite the physical and mental challenges of long-distance travel through tough terrain and unpredictable weather, he remained committed to his cause.

His message was simple yet impactful: "Ride a bicycle, stay healthy, reduce pollution, and save your hard-earned money."

In recognition of his inspiring achievement, Shreshtha Bhuban, a prominent social organization in Tripura, felicitated Mr. Saha at a special ceremony held in Agartala on Saturday. The event was attended by the foundation’s founder, Mr. Biplab Kanti Bhowmik, along with several dignitaries and well-wishers.

Mr. Bhowmik said: “Ajay Saha’s journey is more than a personal milestone it’s a wake-up call to society. His dedication, courage, and message are deeply inspiring, and they remind us of the power of individual action in bringing about positive change.”
