
Aiming to generate employment opportunities for the youth artists of the state of Tripura, the government is progressing fast towards establishing a film institute in collaboration with the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata, said Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Monday.
The ICA minister chaired a jumbo meet here at his office chamber at the secretariat with the officials of the ICA department and other concerned departments.
Chowdhury said a film industry creates a lot of job opportunities for professionals as well as young talents. He had directed the officials to prepare a draft list of what is needed to expedite the work for the setting up of the institute soon.
“The state government is offering a golden opportunity for those who want to establish themselves in the film industry,” the minister said.
