In cricket, England will resume their first innings from an overnight score of 119 for the loss of three wickets on the third day of the second test match being played at Lord’s Cricket ground in London. Skipper Joe Root was batting on 48 and Jonny Bairstow was on six runs at the crease when the stumps were drawn yesterday. For India, Mohammed Siraj claimed two wickets while Mohammed Shami bagged one. The hosts are trailing by 245 runs.

Earlier, K.L. Rahul’s impressive 129 and Rohit Sharma’s gutsy 83-knock helped India score 364 runs. From the hosts side, James Anderson scalped five wickets while Ollie Robinson and Mark Wood bagged two each.
