England win toss, opt to field against India in 2nd Test

India were 46 for 0 when report last came in on Day One of the second Test between India and England at Lord's cricket ground in London. 

Earlier, England skipper Joe Root won the toss and asked India to bat first. Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul started cautiously after a rain delay.

 India made one change, bringing in Ishant Sharma in place of an injured Shardul Thakur. While England, made three changes. Stuart Broad was replaced by Mark Wood, batsman Haseeb Hameed came in place of Zak Crawley and all-rounder Moeen Ali was picked ahead of Dan Lawrence. The first Test match ended in a draw after Day 5 was completely washed out due to rain in Nottingham.
