Tokyo Olympics: All eyes to be on Indian Men's hockey team and shuttler PV Sindhu today

All eyes will be on Indian Men's hockey team and star shuttler PV Sindhu at the Tokyo Games 2020 on Day 9 of the Summer Games in Japan today. Reigning world champion PV Sindhu will take on He Bing Jiao for the women's singles bronze medal match at the Tokyo Olympics badminton event at 5 pm today. He Bing Jiao went down to compatriot Chen Yu Fei in the other semi-final.

Indian men's hockey team led by Manpreet Singh will take on Great Britain in the quarterfinals at 5.30 pm this evening. Indian team lost just a single match in group stage. India last won an Olympic medal in hockey in 1980 Moscow Olympic Games. Boxer Satish Kumar fights will lock horns with world no 1 Bakhodir Jalolov in 91kg quarter-finals at 9:36am. Though Satish Kumar had seven stitches but has been given medical clearance to play.

Indian Golf players Anirban Lahiri and Udayan Mane kicked off the challenge this morning. The fourth and final round of the golf competition is currently underway, and the standings are incredibly tight at the top. India's Fouaad Mirza is in action in the Cross Country stage of the event. Mirza is in ninth place after the dressage round. Fencing, swimming, tennis and men's golf competition will come to a conclusion today.
