Over 41.78 crore vaccine doses administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive

India has administered over 22 lakh 77 thousand vaccine doses to the eligible beneficiaries in the last 24 hours. With this more than 41 crore 78 lakh vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

The Union Health Ministry in a statement said that the country has reported 41 thousand 383 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The country's active caseload is currently at 4 lakh 9 thousand and 394. The active cases constitute 1.31 per cent of the total reported cases so far.

A total of 38 thousand 652 patients also recovered from the infection during the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to more than 3 crore 4 lakh 29 thousand and the recovery rate is at 97.35 percent. In the last 24 hours, 507 deaths were also reported.

The Ministry said, Weekly Positivity Rate in the country remains below 5 percent, and is currently at 2.12 percent. Daily positivity rate stands at 2.41 percent, which is less than 3 percent for 31st consecutive days. The Ministry said, testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and 45.09 crore tests for Covid-19 have been conducted in total. Yesterday, more than 17 lakh 18 thousand tests for Covid -19 were conducted.
