‘Be more cautions and follow self-protection guidelines’ Tripura CM appeals

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb who was infected with the second wave of Coronavirus on Saturday claimed that the state of Tripura is capable of combating the second wave of COVID-19. Deb today inaugurated the newly constructed blood bank, registration counter and casualty block here at Agartala IGM Hospital. “In the past one year, speedy action was taken to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in a planned manner. The fight was fought with joint efforts of everyone and in this, Tripura was fully successful,” Deb said today. He appealed to the people of Tripura to be cautious and follow all self-protection guidelines. 

He said, "Now, the novel coronavirus has returned after changing its form, due to which the situation has become grim. Now, we have to take benefit of our past experience, and soon control the phase-2 of COVID-19, so that its spread can be curtailed. It is good that anti-COVID vaccine is available now, and the vaccination has to be effectively done.” Meanwhile, Deb today said, “As the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently announced for free ration during the month of May and June,

the Tripura government is committed to move in line with this for the welfare of the people of this state and especially for the poor during this period of time.” Deb today also flagged off a total of 11 advanced life-supporting ambulance here at Agartala and hoped that this ambulances shall play a key role during the period of this second wave of the pandemic. Earlier during the month of March previous year as many as 50 life-supporting ambulances are placed on road here in the state’s different locations.
