Post-poll violence: BJP ally IPFT smells communist conspiracy

The Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) an ally to the ruling BJP government in the state of Tripura defeated badly in the recently concluded tribal council poll is now smelling a red conspiracy over the post-poll violence.IPFT general secretary also the state forest minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia on Wednesday addressing a press conference has reacted sharp over the post-poll violence across the ADC areas and accused the Communist party.

He alleged, "CPI(M) cadres disguise as TIPRA Motha, which is not under total control of Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman at grass root level, engaged in majority of post poll violence." "Though Pradyot has appealed to his party workers to stay away from violence after the poll, but this seems to have got unheard for major section of workers of TIPRA Motha," adding to this Mevar said, "Most of the workers of newly floated TIPRA Motha belongs to the CPI(M) background which perhaps has caused Pradyot unable to take control over the violence."

Terming the post-poll violence as conspiracy of the Communist cadres Mevar alleged, "A section of police personnels are not sincere in stopping violence or taking action against culprits."Mevar however demanded the government and he police to take immediate action against he culprits who are directly and indirectly involved with the post-poll violence and attacks and award stringent punishment to the accused.
