ADC Poll: BJP exudes confidence in winning ADC; accuses TIPRA, CPI(M) of disrupting poll process

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday accused the Maharaja Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman backed newly formed TIPRA Motha regional p[arty and the opposition CPI(M) of disrupting the polling process on Tuesday in the ADC. “The TIPRA Motha jointly with the CPI(M) party has tried to disrupt the polling process in some parts of the state in ADC,” BJP state spokesperson Subrata Chakroborty alleged.

He alleged, “Some of our party workers, polling agents and poll staff are attacked today by the TIPRA Motha and the CPI(M) which tried to interrupt the polling process.” Addressing a press conference soon after the end of polling to Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) this evening Mr. Chakroborty also accused some administrative official inducted to the polling process and alleged, “On some instances it has been reported to us that some administrative officials has backed the TIPRA Motha party in disrupting the polling process.”

Meanwhile, party leader Tinku Roy today claimed, “This is for the first time that people in the ADC freed themselves from the misrule of the previous Left front government and has come out to vote for development.” Roy however exuded confidence in winning the TTAADC election and later stated, “The BJP-IPFT government in Tripura is committed towards overall development of TTAADC.”
