CM pays homage to Tripura BSF jawan martyred in a gun battle at Kahsmir

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday paid homage to the Tripura BSF Jawan  - Sudip Sarkar martyred in a gun battle at Kashmir. Soon after the body has reached here at Agartala at the martyred jawan’s home, Deb paid the homage.

Deb took on to his tweeter handle and stated, “Paid homage to martyred Jawan Sudip Sarkar at Dhaleswar, who laid down his life while fighting against Pakistan-backed militants in Kashmir. No one is more selfless and brave than a soldier. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with his family.”

 The BSF jawan CT Sudip Sarkar was killed in action against the infiltrators at Line of Control (LoC). Sudip Sarkar, 38, was a constable with BSF 169 battalion and a resident of Tripura. The wreath laying ceremony of the martyred Jawan was held in Srinagar on Monday last where the BSF jawans and officers paid homage and the last floral tribute.

Sudip was among the four defense personnel who laid down their lives in a gun battle against the terrorists along the LOC in Machil Sector in Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The men lost their lives in the encounter, while three heavily armed terrorists were also neutralized in the attack.The leader of the opposition Manik Sarkar also visited the home of martyred Sudip Sarkar and conveyed his condolences to the family.
