Centre sanction new flight service from Agartala to Shillong & Dibrugarh

In yet another bonanza to Northeast India, the Centre has recently sanctioned new flight services from Tripura's capital Agartala to Shillong and Dibrugarh under the UDAN 4.0 and Act East Policy. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Wednesday took on to his social media handle and twitted, "I humbly thank @PMOIndia Shri @narendramodi ji & Sri @HardeepSPuri for sanctioning flights between Agartala & Shillong,Agartala & Dibrugarh under #UDAN scheme."

"These flights will be helpful for people from all walks of life & boost the economy,tourism & connectivity in the region," the twit reads. However, the joint secretary of Union Ministry of Civil Aviation - Usha Padhee twitted and released the 78 routes in NE India under UDAN scheme, where the new flight services are approved by the centre.
