Centenarian Bichitra Sinha who happens to be the deceit mother of former chief minister of Tripura – Manik Sarkar enters an old age home here at Agartala holding the hands of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Pratima Bhoumik. Thirsting for justice Bichitra Sinha of remote Kachucherra village in Dhalai district was left homeless during the Left era in Tripura after her land was acquired for construction of police station.

The incident with Bichitra Sinha is turned to be one of the most shameful incidents in the history of state and it violated the human rights. Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar leaves no stone unturned entitling Bichitra as his mother to construct police station on her acquired land. Bichitra agreed to donate her only land to the previous Left front government after Manik Sarkar reported to have assured her with happy and stable future in the capital town of Agartala but all left with her were false promises and deprivation.

Thirsting for justice Bichitra Sinha have always been eyeing forward for an exemplary punishment against Manik Sarkar and his local party men. Since then she finds nothing other than exhausting herself at her ripe age with elderly ailments. But, the tale of Bichitra Sinha takes a sharp turn towards the capital town of Agartala. With MP Pratima Bhoumik and activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Bichitra bids an adieu to her Kachucherra village which seems to be her cradle of journey from a bride till her ripe age.

Tears rolling over her wrinkles from her eyes Bichitra reached Agartala to make an entrance into state run old age home at Gandhigram with Lord Krishna as her only reminiscent of her husband late Gokul Sinha. MP Pratima Bhoumik holds her hand tight and welcomed her at Agartala. Now, if the state government would move with the case in judicial process or would rest with happy ending of Bichitra Sinha – that’s a different matter.
