CM urge youths in Tripura to grow floriculture

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb Thursday inaugurated a day-long workshop on expanding business in primary sector here at Agartala Pragna Bhawan. Deb said his government has started work to increase production in primary sectors like agriculture, horticulture, poultry and dairy farming to deal with losses suffered due to the lockdown. He said, "The state will see a hefty growth in its economy with the expansion of business in primary sector."

"Poultry, fisheries, animal husbandry, dairy, agriculture, horticulture and floriculture could generate early income with less investment and may be focused to increase primary sector productivity," Deb said. Deb interacted with the young entrepreneurs of the state in workshop todat and had a wide range of discussion in the issues related to growing business in primary sector and its profit.

 He said, "A lrge number of youths are now showing interest in growing floricultire sector in the sate which perhaps has a huge market abroad and capable of growing the state's economy." He aid his government is considering providing subsidized loans under various government schemes in primary sectors.
