Question over inquiry on lock up death

The recently reported death in West Agartala police station which is being, from the very beginning, branded as a mere suicide has triggered a list of questions, mostly unheard and kept unnoticed. Apart from the version of deceased family, which has lodged FIRs against the police department, for thinking people of the society, it still remains a truth undigested.

 Though, a magisterial inquiry has been ordered, still it is not understood by many as to how an inquiry can be initiated unbiased without suspending the police officials being involved in this case.Even, former chief Minister Manik Sarkar seemed not convinced the way case is being handled by the police. Speaking to media, the former Chief Minister asked as to how a magistreal inquiry can answer the questions in such an important case and urged the government to order a judicial inquiry.

According to some local intelligentsia, the people who are involved in this case has to be suspended for the first time and only than an unbiased inquiry cane be carried on. Otherwise, there will be a feasible chances of influencing the inquiry. Some of them also demanded, suspension of DSP Nirdesh Deb, OC Subrata Chakraborty and their higher authorities.
