Army Institute of Nursing organized 4th NRSI East Zone Conference in Guwahati

The 4th National Research Society of India (NRSI) East Zone Conference was organized on the theme “Nursing Research : Building wellness for a better Future” by Army Institute of Nursing (AIN), Basistha, Guwahati on  November 22 and 23.The aim of the conference is to enhance the knowledge and motivate nursing professionals to undertake research and utilize findings in clinical settings to improve quality care through evidence based nursing practice.

National Research Society of India (NRSI) is a premier organization and was formed in the year 1987, with the main aim of providing forum to nurse scientists by organizing conferences and workshops throughout the country to promote nursing research activities. The conference was held at Army Public School Auditorium, Narangi, Guwahati and around 200 delegates attended the conference from the East zone of India, i.e, Bihar, Odisha, West Bangle, Sikkim and Seven North Eastern states. Renowned resource person have been invited to deliberate upon the significant aspects of Nursing education and Research.

Maj Gen Jarken Gamlin, GOC HQ 51 Sub Area & Chairman AIN presided over the function as Chief Guest and inaugurated the conference by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Prof.  Dr. Alak Kumar Buragohain, Chairman, Academic of Royal Global University was the Guest of Honour and delivered a short speech. The conference was well attended by academicians, nurse educators and by the young nurse researchers from North East India. Best Oral and Poster paper presentations were awarded by the Chief Guest during  the Valedictory session.
