Tripura MP targets former CM and apprises Parliament of Rose Valley Chit fund scam

The Bharatiya Janata Party MP from West Tripura Parliamentary constituency Pratima Bhowmik on Wednesday targeted the former Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Sarkar over Rosevalley chit fund company looting crore of money from the poor and demanded the centre to accelerate the CBI enquiry on this. Pratima Bhoiwmik was addressing in the parliament on Wednesday. She said the rise valley chit fund company has looted a total of Rs. 10,000 crore from the poor people in Tripura.

"Former Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar who was known as white man country-wide and poorest Chief Minister has launched the Rose Vallet chit-fund company in Tripura and urged upon the people of this state to invest in Rose Valley and secure their money," adding to this Bhowmik told the parliament, "At least 16 lakhs population of this state were cheated by this Rose Valley chit fund company."

She said, "Former minister also the CPI-M MLA Bijita Nath and many others from the communist party were indulged in collecting the hard earned from the poor as an agent of this Rose Valley Chit Fund company."MP Pratima Bhowmik however said, "This chit fund company has looted crore of money from the poor people of Tripura and invested in West Bengal in constructing film city like structures."
