BJP in Tripura commemorates Maharaja Bir Bikram on his 111th birth anniversary

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Pradesh committee today commemorated the 111th birth anniversary of Tripura’s last ruler – Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur with the BJP state president also the Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb along with the party leaders and workers offering a floral tribute to the portrait of the Maharaja here at Agartala Party office premise.Series of programmes are organised in the state to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maharaja.

Addressing the gathering of party workers today, BJP state president Biplab Deb remembered the contribution of Maharaja Bir Bikram and said, “The Maharaja was the modern architect of Tripura. Our government is committed to fulfil Maharaja’s vision of modern and developed Tripura.”

Mr. Deb said, “Tripura will remain ever grateful to our Maharaja for his relentless service to state through his modern thinking.” He said, “In his rule Tripura has developed in several aspects which includes better administration, modernisation, social reforms, education, etc.” “Tripura is also committed to build this state into a model state by three years. Tender process that has already begun in different fields shall be completed by 7 to 8 months,” said Mr. Deb today.
